Wednesday 9 October

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOur congratulations go this month to Laura from the Unicorns class.  Laura is the latest winner of the Colinton Cup and received the award for being a responsible learner who always has everything she needs for learning.  Laura can be relied upon for bringing the correct equipment with her to school, having her homework completed on time, remembering her PE kit and for always being ready for learning.  Well done Laura.

We would also like to congratulate all the boys and girls in the school who did such a great job in collecting foodstuffs for our Harvest Assembly.  This year the pupils from Colinton collected 345 items, all of which will be put to good use in feeding and helping families in crisis.  We would also like to thank the Pecters in P5 for doing such a great job in organising the collection this year.  The results are the best we have had at Colinton for a number of years.

On Thursday this week the whole school will be outside first thing in the morning cheering on the soldiers from 1 Scots as they do their charity fun run.  The runners will be served drinks by our pupils so you should ensure that your child is suitably dressed for the Autumnal weather.

You should also note that we have updated the class pages on the website.  You can have a look at a selection of the work from our classes by visiting their own pages in the Gallery of Work Section.

The half-term holiday is approaching.  We’d like to wish you all a relaxing week off and we will see you all back at school, wrapped up and cosy in your winter coats on Tuesday 22 October.  School will close at the usual times this Friday.
