Monday 28 May

Congratulations to Kevin (The Wildcats), the latest pupil to win the Colinton Cup.  Kevin has consistently brought everything he needs for learning and has tried his very best every single day.  Kevin has a double celebration a he is also the first pupil to become a member of Mrs Imrie’s Golden Club this year.  Well done to you Kevin, keep up the great work.

It’s Colinton’s Health Week!

We began our usual health week programme with the whole school walk on Friday. Everyone really enjoyed the activity that involved collecting items on the way to the Polo Field to use as part of a story the children were asked to tell.  We were really impressed, particularly with the older pupils who did a great job in helping and supervising the younger children.

Today we have our younger classes doing dance with a special instructor while our senior classes are doing basketball with a coach from Edinburgh Leisure.  For the rest of this week we are looking forward to everyone in P1-P4/5 doing cycling tomorrow (please remember your bike and your helmet), while our older pupils will be travelling to Meadowbank to compete at the interscholastics.  We also have activities that includes multi-ball skills clubs, table tennis, American football, tennis and assault courses.  It will all culminate in our Sports Day on Friday morning on the school field.  We are really looking forward to it and hope as many of you as possible can join us there to cheer on your child.

We will be putting photographs of the various activities on the website throughout the week so be sure to check in with what has been happening.
