Thursday 2 June

This morning we started the day with our Active Schools Breakfast, an early morning treat for all those people who walked, scooted or cycled to school.  We also had Lynn Stocks from the iBike project officially open our new cycle shelter.  Lynn has worked really hard on this project on behalf of the school and her work is greatly appreciated by everyone here at Colinton.

Day four of Health Week was another successful day with the whole school involved in “Wake and Shake,” a dance based warm up, first thing this morning before the classes enjoyed a session of street dance with the instructor.  It was great fun.  P5 had another swimming session at the Merchiston pool in the morning and P4 and P5 had another cycling session in the afternoon.  Also in the afternoon the Physical Training Instructor from 1 Scots spent some time with the pupils from P1, P2, P3 and P6.

After school the school’s football team played against the staff in a challenge match.  Watch this space for more a more detailed match report and some photographs of the big occasion.
